The laboratory "Mathematical Modeling of Nonlinear Systems" was established in 1982 by Academician T.J. Jurayev at the Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the name "Mathematical Problems of Mechanics". Since 1985, the laboratory began operating at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the name "Non-classical Equations of Mathematical Physics".
Based on the Resolution No. PK-4387 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 9, 2019 "On measures to further develop mathematics education and sciences with state support, as well as to fundamentally improve the activities of the V.I. Romanovskiy Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the department "Non-classical Equations of Mathematical Physics" was transformed into the laboratory "Mathematical Modeling of Nonlinear Systems".
Currently, the laboratory "Mathematical Modeling of Nonlinear Systems" is headed by Professor J.O. Takhirov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Additionally, the following researchers are conducting scientific activities at this laboratory: A.A. Saidov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Leading Researcher; D.B. Eshmamatova, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Leading Researcher; R.T. Zunnunov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Senior Researcher; M.S. Rasulov, PhD, Senior Researcher; M. Boborakhimova, PhD, Senior Researcher; M.A. Tadjiyeva, PhD, Senior Researcher; and B.B. Anvarjonov, Junior Researcher.

Scientific Activity
Currently, the laboratory "Mathematical Modeling of Nonlinear Systems" is conducting research in the following directions:
• Mathematical modeling and investigation of medico-biological and ecological processes
• Mathematical modeling and investigation of physical processes
• Conducting research on the implementation of research results into practice
International Cooperation
The laboratory collaborates scientifically with numerous research centers, including:
- Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology;
- Memorial University of Newfoundland, School of Science and the Environment (Canada);
- Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don).
