Academician Shavkat Ayupov awarded the "People's Diplomat" badge

In 2022, the "People's Diplomat" badge was established in Uzbekistan based on the decision of the Coordinating Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Center for Public Diplomacy. This badge is awarded to individuals who have made worthy contributions to strengthening mutual trust, interethnic and interfaith harmony in SCO member states and our country, developing intercultural dialogue, expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, and creating an environment of friendly cooperation among civil society institutions.

Yesterday, the 2025 laureates of this award were announced. Among those honored with this award is President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Academician Shavkat Ayupov, for his many years of effective work, services in supporting and mentoring young specialists, development of international cooperation, and contribution to enhancing our country's image.

This recognition is a high appreciation not only of Academician Shavkat Ayupov's achievements in the scientific and innovation sphere, but also of his services in strengthening international scientific and cultural cooperation, tireless efforts, and active participation in expanding international friendly relations.
