Uzbekistani Mathematicians Participated in the First Congress of Mathematicians in Kazakhstan

From April 3 to 7, 2026, the First Congress of Mathematicians of Kazakhstan was held at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University in Shymkent, Republic of Kazakhstan. A group of leading mathematicians from the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in this prestigious international scientific forum with their presentations.

The delegation included prominent professors from the National University of Uzbekistan, the V.I. Romanovskiy Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences, Tashkent State Transport University, Samarkand State University, and Termez State University. Scientists such as M. Aripov, R. Ashurov, Yu. Apakov, D. Eshmamatova, A. Artikboyev, T. Yuldashev, B. Khojayev, I. Mirzayev, B. Islomov, and M. Mirsaburov actively participated in six international scientific conferences organized within the congress.

Prospects for Cooperation During the meetings, key agreements were reached to further develop cooperation between the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University and higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, including:

  • Establishing new Master's degree programs within the framework of the Erasmus+ program;

  • Implementing student and doctoral exchange programs;

  • Publishing joint scientific articles, monographs, and textbooks in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases.
